WATERVILLE, Maine --- Chad Sawyer had two goals and two assists as Connecticut College fought back from a 7-3 deficit early in the second quarter to take an 11-10 victory over Colby College in New England Small College Athletic Conference men's lacrosse Saturday at Bill Alfond Field.
Not including Saturday's results. The Camels are receiving votes in this week's USILA National Poll and are ranked #4 in New England. Chad Sawyer (Northfield, Ill.) has scored 17 goals and assisted on three others for a total of 20 points. Senior Andrew Freedman (Sudbury, Mass.) has accounted for a team-best 23 points with 14 goals and nine assists. Briggs Barton (Rye, N.Y.) provided a nice boost to the line-up this week, scoring four goals in his first three games of action. Brendan Schrader (Annapolis, Md.) is 45-for-76 (.597) on face-offs and has 23 ground balls this season. Jack Griffin (Seaford, N.Y.) leads the club with 29 ground balls. Mike Brennan (Chester Springs, Pa.) has 14 ground balls from his defensive post. Bobby Bleistein (Oyster Bay, N.Y.) has posted a 6.63 goals against average with a .667 save percentage in five games played. Bleistein made 15 saves in a victory against Williams March 23.
