Men’s Tennis Dominates Schreiner, 8-1, to Start Spring Break Trip in Texas

KERRVILLE, Texas – Senior Will Cannon (Fairfield, Conn.) and junior Guillermo Garcia Rincon (Cáceres, Spain) were double winners in leading the Connecticut College men's tennis team to an 8-1 triumph over Schreiner at the Cree Tennis Center on Monday.

Cannon and Rincon paired up to capture the No. 1 doubles spot over Schreiner's Luis Cabreja and Andrew Albright by a score of 8-5. Rincon then defeated Cabreja at No. 1 singles by marks of 6-1 and 6-2, while Cannon took down Matthew Jimenez at No. 4 singles by set scores of 6-3 and 6-2. Sophomores SangJin Song (Roslyn Heights, N.Y.), Henry DeCoster (Greenwich, Conn.) and Walter Komishane (Manchester, Mass.) as well as freshman Sean Jenkins (Davidson, N.C.) helped the Camels sweep singles play by winning their respective matches as well.

Connecticut College (1-1) plays East Texas Baptist later today.
