No. 39 Southwestern Upends Men’s Tennis

GEORGETOWN, Texas – The Connecticut College men's tennis team was upended by No. 39 Southwestern, 8-1, on Wednesday evening.

The Camels got their point at No. 3 doubles, as seniors Johnny Cissel (Amherst, N.H.) and sophomore Henry DeCoster (Greenwich, Conn.) downed Alonso Fernandez and Vesko Lekovic by an 8-3 decision.

Senior Will Cannon (Fairfield, Conn.) was also competitive throughout the evening. After dropping a tight doubles match by an 8-6 score with junior Guillermo Garcia Rincon (Cáceres, Spain), he fell in three sets to Dean Dulthummon at No. 4 singles by marks of 4-6, 7-6, and 4-10.

Connecticut College (2-2) will next travel to Abilene, Texas to face McMurry on Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m. CST (2 p.m. EST).
