MESA, Ariz. – Senior captain and defender Courtney Peyko (Grand Isle, Vt.) has been named to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) All-New England West Region Second Team, as announced by the national organization.
Peyko, a four-year starter who never missed a game, anchored a Camel defense which allowed one goal or less five times during the season and also finished the fall with three defensive saves. Furthermore, she recorded a goal and an assist and most notably scored the game-winning marker in the team's 2-1 win over Wesleyan to close out the season as well as her collegiate career on a high note.
Following today's announcement, the Connecticut College field hockey program has now had an all-region selection for three straight seasons. Defender Jackie Murphy '18 and forward Jamie Navoni were recently recognized in 2017 and 2018, respectively.
