WALTHAM, Mass. – Junior Charlie Adl (New Canaan, Conn.) factored into three winning performances and pool records in leading the Connecticut College men's swimming team to a 160-138 victory over Division II Bentley on Sunday afternoon.
Adl first won the 200-yard freestyle in 1:41.53 and then took the 100 free in 4:41.64. He then teamed up with classmate Brandon Louison (Housatonic, Mass.) as well as freshmen Julien Legros (Yorktown Heights, N.Y.) and Mitchell Lockwood (Winchester, Mass.) on the 400 free relay which touched the wall in 3:09.24. All three marks were pool records.
Other notable individual efforts were made by junior Jared Nussbaum (Ridgefield, Conn.) and sophomore Colin Merrill (Glastonbury, Conn.). Nussbaum won the 1,000 free in 9:40.62 and the 500 free in 4:41.64, while Merrill captured the 200 fly in 1:54.99 and the 200 IM in 1:57.55. His mark in the 200 fly was also a pool record.
Connecticut College (3-1) will next visit Williams for a dual meet with the Ephs on Saturday, Jan. 18 at 1 p.m.
