Men’s Track & Field Places 10th at Branwen Smith-King Invitational

MEDFORD, Mass. – The Connecticut College men's track & field team finished 10th among 19 scoring teams at the Branwen Smith-King Invitational being hosted by Tufts over the weekend. The Camels scored 26 points over three different events.

Freshman Ben Vazquez (Millington, N.J.) and junior Jacob Brill-Weil (Cambridge, Mass.) led the way for the Camels by taking the top two spots in the 800-meter run and qualifying for the upcoming New England Division III Championships. Vazquez won the event in a meet record time of 1:57.03, while Brill-Weil followed right behind him in 1:58.73. The duo also teamed up with junior Josh Simensky (Falmouth, Maine) and sophomore Ethan Milsark (Northampton, Mass.) to comprise the 4x400-meter relay team which finished fifth in 3:36.29.

Junior Danny Aschale (Cambridge, Mass.) rounded out the scoring over three events for the Camels. He placed fifth in the 3,000 by hitting the tape in 8:37.73.

Connecticut College will return to Tufts to compete at the Cupid Challenge next weekend.
