WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – The Connecticut College women's tennis team fell in a NESCAC match to No. 8 Williams by a 9-0 score on Saturday afternoon.
Notable efforts were made by seniors Mariah Warren (McLeansville, N.C.) and Emily Migliorini (North Haven, Conn.) as well as freshman Brooke Scully (Winchester, Mass.). Warren and Scully took a 3-2 lead over Leah Bush and Julia Pham before ultimately falling in No. 1 doubles by an 8-3 score. Migliorini also built up a 3-2 advantage over Bush from the top singles spot, but her Eph opponent recovered to win in straight sets by identical 6-3 scores.
Connecticut College (8-5, NESCAC 0-3) will face another nationally-ranked NESCAC opponent when it visits No. 5 Middlebury tomorrow afternoon at 1 p.m.
