Connecticut College did a complete 180 in its second match of the day, scoring five consecutive goals over the first 12 minutes of action and never looking back. Lopez recorded a natural hat trick to give the Camels a 3-0 advantage through one quarter of play, and sophomore Brooklynn Hayes (Granville, Mass.) tallied back-to-back markers in the opening minutes of the second to put the hosts in control. The hosts racked up five goals in the third en route to running away with an 11-goal win.
Lopez finished with six goals and Hayes added three. Freshman Kyla Drewry (Prospect, Conn.) scored twice, while captains Kaitlin Reagan (Saratoga, Calif.) and McCool combined to only yield one goal between the posts.
Connecticut College (4-6) will resume CWPA action when it travels to Grove City next weekend. The Camels open up with an 8:00 a.m. match on Friday morning.
